Super Inggo became a regional semi-finalist in the International Emmy Awards for the category "Children and Young People". Other ABS-CBN programs were also nominated, including Sa Piling Mo for the Drama Series category, and Bandila and TV Patrol World for the News category. Bandila made it as a finalist under the News category, and made history by being the first ever nominated news program from the Philippines.
Super Inggo is ABS-CBN’s groundbreaking superserye. Which focuses on its main character Budong (Makisig Morales), a 10-year-old kid who dreams of becoming a real life and full pleged superhero. Unknown to him, he possesses superhuman strength and abilities which he inherited from his Superhero father and Evil mother. The series started on August 28, 2006 and ended on February 9, 2007 and Ranked number 2 in Philippine Nationwide Ratings, courtesy of AGB Nielsen Media Research. The show is set to have a sequel for book 2 entitled, Super Inggo 1.5: Ang Bagong Bangis.
